BBIA Hard Hats & Heels Auction

The Bitterroot Building Industry Association is proud to announce the return of their Hard Hats & Heels Charity Auction coming up November 8th, 2024. This worthwhile event raises awareness and funds for local community non-profits who support housing those in need. We are excited to be partnering with SAFE this year - Supporters of Abuse Free Environments (S.A.F.E.)

As the only provider of emergency shelter and services in Ravalli County for survivors of domestic and intimate partner abuse SAFE’s services are critically needed. They help survivors find the help they need to build a safe future. SAFE provides a variety of housing programs, advocacy services, a crisis hotline and community programs all geared toward creating a future free of violence. SAFE provides services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Your financial and material support will go towards ensuring that those experiencing domestic or sexual violence in Ravalli County find the help they need to build a safe future. Consider becoming an event sponsor, donating an item for auction, making a financial pledge and attending this fun evening to help SAFE. Your contribution BIG or small will make a huge impact for this local area non-profit helping house those experiencing partner abuse.  To find out more about the SAFE visit their website safeinthebitterroot.org.

Additional information on the Hard Hats & Heels Charity Auction - making a donation, becoming a sponsor or purchasing tickets - can be obtained by contacting the Bitterroot Building Industry Association at 406-375-9411 or info@bitterrootbia.com

A powerful meditation on a rural life of hunting in a world of guns- some of them used for sinister purposes… A welcome, eminently sensible contribution to the literature of the American West- and responsible gun ownership.” -Kirkus Reviews

Holiday Decor Drive with Jessi's Wine & Goods

Holiday Decor Drive with Jessi's Wine & Goods

When fleeing a domestic violence situation, the last thing on survivors' minds is what traditional holiday home decor they are going to take with them, as they are trying to figure out how to keep themselves and their children safe and healthy and find a new place to live. Because of that, these families' temporary shelter/housing that they find when they arrive at SAFE doesn't feel like "home" for the holidays. This week, Jessi’s Wine & Goods is teaming up with SAFE to host a holiday decor drive to provide a little holiday cheer to the temporary homes of our survivors and their families. Bring your new or very gently used holiday decor to Jessi's wine shop (100 Skeels Ave, Hamilton) from December 1st-10th and brighten a family's holiday season! Items we are looking for the most include string lights, tree ornaments and decorations, wreaths, stockings and stocking stuffers, advent calendars and gingerbread house kits for kids and any other jolly indoor decor for a small, temporary home. We have already received very generous donations of trees for our families, so please, no trees or outdoor decorations!
